Puppies and young dogs
Puppies need large amount of food due to their development and growth. For puppies till the forth month of age, divide the food into 5, or 6 dosages. For young dogs until one year of age serve APORT twice, or three times a day. .

Adult dog
adult dogs can be feed once, or more times a day. We recommend dividing the feeding dosage and to feed twice a day. Mostly it is possible to use this system even if you are quite busy. First amount of food your dog gets in the morning and second one in the evening. In this way it improves digestion and prevents digestion problems. Especially big dog breeds have a large feeding dosage. For example, if the amount of 700 g for a dog of 60–kg weight is served all at once, it means overload for the whole organism.

Pregnant and nursing bitches
At the beginning of pregnancy it is recommended to feed a bitch once or twice a day and since the 5. – 6. Week of pregnancy you can feed three times a day. At that time it is important not to overload the organism with food. We recommend to feed the nursing bitches again twice, or three times a day according to the size of feeding dosage, i.e. according to the number of puppies.

Dry food APORT and CICI is produced in such way that you needn´t add anything to it. All nutriments are well balanced in order to cover all needs of your dog, or cat. An exception make delicacies that are given as reward and APORT– additional feed, so called extruded pasta that is enriched with vegetable and flax seed for high quality of fur. Into the APORT Veget (as even its own name suggests) it is necessary to add a meat component.

For each type of our feed you will find recommended dosages. These feeding dosages are for your orientation; it is necessary to consider the activity, condition, age, breed, etc. Each dog is an individual and hence it is needed to adjust the feeding dosage due to its requirements. You find out for your dog, whether it needs to add a bit, or whether it starts gaining weight slowly.

APORT can be served both dry and moistened by a lukewarm water, or broth. We recommend rather using it in a dry condition so it preserves its special structure and the shape of granules that can help to clean teeth and so ensure a healthy set of teeth. There has to be available enough fresh water for the whole time. At some dog breeds, such as some sledding dogs within the race period, the dog–fancier use broth together with granules in order to get an optimum amount of liquid into the dog´s organism.

The change from another feed to APORT is very easy. Due to individual requirements for each dog a gradual change is recommended that can last from 3 to 5 days. First day serve 1/3 of APORT and 2/3 of former food. Then gradually increase the amount of APORT food. If your dog gets one day the original food and the other day APORT, in most cases there won´t be any problem. However, the gradual change is always more considerate of the digestive tract.

You choose time when you are going to feed your dog, however, we recommend to maintain the same time every day. A dog gets used to the feeding time and will look forward to it.

We recommend rather choosing one sort and noting that the food is complete. This information must be written on the wrapping. Anyway it is possible to feed in combination, i.e. to mix granules and content of can together. However, don´t use for a dog a variant of divided food i.e. can in the morning and granules in the evening – save the digestive tract of a dog

Close the bag again and store in a dry, cool place, for example in the larder. The bags are made from a material that protects the food against moisture; however, the bags have to be well closed.

A guarantee can be found on each wrapping of our feed – with granulated feeds there is usually 18 months´ guarantee, with cans 24 moths. After opening of wrapping with granulated food it is recommended–to consume it within 3 to 5 months. Due to correct storage you can prolong the best before date of open bag however, it is in vain. The APORT food is supplied in a wide range of packages, and so you need not store an open bag for a long time at home.

Chondroitin sulfate is a main component of intercellular tissue of cartilage and has the important ability to bond water in the tissue. Through this ability contributes in ensuring mechanical and elastic attributes and in this way adds strength and shape to the cartilage. It is added to the whole range of APORT Champion food.

For preservation of our granulated dog and cat foods it is used drying to highly dry matter. In regard of antioxidants we use tocopherols as vitamins.
